Black Knights of Númenor

Lore of the Black Knights

The men selected for this unit are to be only men descended from the Black Númenóreans who have chosen to rejoin Gondor/Arnor. They are to be well trained and holders of high standings, these men serve as a direct unit of a king; they are his elite warriors held to an Oath of Loyalty. They are to do whatever is necessary to protect the Royal Family. The unit was first formed by  King Elessar in the early Fourth Age once South Gondor had been reclaimed. Their base was established in the black tower of Minas Eithel. 

Armor of the Black Knights

These men are clad in armor of partial plate made of darkened steel and chainmail, covered with a balck tabard crested with a single white eagle. 

Weapons of the Black Knights

The Black Knights are armed with a single mid-length black Gondorian lance,a simple black kite shield with their crest and darkened steel boss on it. Along with this they have at their side a single finely made darkened Gondorian bastard sword. 

Horses of the Black Knights

As for their horses, they would be clad in a black horse tabard with the knight's crest on either side with blackened chainmail underneath. The reins and straps were to be of a dark gray color with a matching saddle.
