Lore of the Town

The settlement of Éothsted is not named for the Éothain, son of Morwen who rode with his sister to alert King Théoden of the Wild Men pillaging through Rohan. Rather it was named for his great ancestor Éothsted I, of Rohan and founder of the settlement. Over time the simple settlement grew to become one of the larger towns in the Westemnet and later its capital.
